Satisfy your entertainment cravings whenever, wherever!
You write to create a new life. You read to live another life.
The power of stories are both in the hands of a writer and a reader.
And do you know kung ano’ng pinakamaingay na subgenre ng Romance ngayon? It’s Erotic Romance.
Pero teka, what is Erotic Romance muna?
Gets ba? Well…
Kung may vital role ang mga sexual interaction sa isang Erotic Romance, does it mean…umiikot din ang istorya nito sa erotic scenes? Nope!
With that said, kami rito sa NoInk, welcome lahat ng genres!
And as our brand continues to evolve, naghahanap kami ng mga new talents na talaga namang love na love ang pagsusulat sa kanilang chosen genre. Kaya naman for this article, we want to introduce the author of one of our Top Reads here in NoInk.
Give it up for – Roxan Silo.
We managed to grab a quick online interview with Roxan Silo. Enjoy!
NOINK: Hello! Before anything else, please, introduce yourself muna.
“I am Roxan Silo also known as Whroxie, a happily married wife and a mother of three. I’ve been writing romance novels for almost 6 years.
I am drawn to write adult, sexy, kinky stories to bring out adult readers’ erotic force field through my sexy stories. I believe that Erotic-Romance can be breathtakingly beautiful because it allows me to access a realm where I can explore the rich diversity of feminine sexuality.
Also, I love writing young adult stories. It reminds me of how beautiful and refreshing teenage life is, at kung gaano kasarap ang ma-in-love.
I always want to spice up people's lives with my tele-dramatic accords. So, as a writer I often ask myself about the life changing or mind-blowing outcomes of every scheme that I had in my imagination.
Fun fact about me; I can’t sleep without a mosquito net wrapped on my feet. Haha! Wherever I go, I bring a small portion of mosquito net with me. It makes me feel comfortable. It’s such a hard habit to break.”
NOINK: Wow. 6 years of writing. Pero ilang stories nang nasulat mo? What genres?
“I posted 23 complete stories in a digital storytelling platform. 14 of them got published in print. So, yes, I am a published author.
Can you tell us naman how and when did you start writing?
“I actually never dreamed of being a writer. I never envisioned that one day, I would write a book. I am an avid reader. If I could spend morning, noon and night reading, I would be in heaven. I am the kind of reader who always thinks of potential twists and turns while reading the stories. Mareklamo rin sa stories na nabasasa minsan but I never voice out my negative opinion.
Then way back 2014, I discovered this popular digital storytelling and started reading some stories there. There are few stories that left me unsatisfied. There were lots of scenes in my mind that I strongly believe that the stories would be better if they were included but unfortunately it didn’t happen. Haha! (This is me as a reader. Alam ko hindi ako nag-iisa) So, instead of complaining I decided to create my own story, then I jotted down all the scenes in my imagination to satisfy myself until I found myself enjoying it and it became my passion. And now, I’m a published author.”
NOINK: Any difficulties na na-experience mo or you’re currently experiencing right now as a writer? How did/do you deal with it?
“I’d been plagued with Too Many Ideas Syndrome (TMIS). There are tons of ideas buzzing incessantly in my head but I can’t write them down because sometimes I don't know what to write first. This is my biggest problem in my writing and I still find ways to overcome this.
NOINK: What has influenced you the most as a writer?
“My reading habits influence my writing. I find it reading quality books helps me to improve my writing style. For me, it’s one of the best tools in my writing arsenal.
Also, the author that I look up to influences me to produce worthwhile material.”
NOINK: Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want? Share mo na rin why.
“Originality is very important because it makes your story standout pero walang masama kung ibibigay mo paminsan-minsan ang gusto ng readers lalo kung hindi naman iyon ikakasira ng kwento. In my writing, I try more to be original but at the same time I spoil my readers by giving what they want.
NOINK: We’ll give you a scenario… You feel uninspired and you’ve sat at the computer for an hour without conquering any words. How do you get your creativity flowing?
I start imagining scenarios in my mind. I let my imagination run wild until my creative spirit unleashed. Then it will flow smoothly.”
NOINK: For you, how do you describe a successful author/writer?
“Different people have different ideas of what it means to be a successful writer.
NOINK: How do you think being a writer has helped you as a person?
“Being a writer helps me to be a better person. I have learned the significance and value of patience. Writing takes a lot of time and dedication before you actually taste the success. Haha!
And of course, iyong maging marespeto sa mga co-writers and readers. Parang naging kasiyahan ko na rin na makapag-share ng stories sa mga readers to make them happy.”
NOINK: Tell us your motto/hash tag/or any life verse you have.
“Don’t tame your imagination. Let it run wild.”
NOINK: Ayan, it’s time to greet your readers na!
“Hello, Whroxie’s Armies! They call themselves armies. Haha! Words are not enough to express how grateful I am to each of you. I cannot thank You enough for the support you’ve given to me. Abangan niyo ang Book 2: Tease Me and book 3: Taint Me. Ipo-post ko siya sa NoInk soon.”
Violet was asked by her sister, one of her triplets, to meet Ryker on their monthsary date, and she will be pretending to be Lavender. However, the idea has gone all to cock when she blacked out from alcohol and woke up in an unfamiliar room the next morning-- completely naked with Ryker. The blood stain on the bedsheet and the sore she feels between her legs were proof that they did a horrible sin. A sin that had tainted her relationship with her sister. Note: Touch Me is one of my favorite stories I’ve written. I was overwhelmed by the readers’ feedbacks. I received a lot of messages from my readers, telling me of how this story stirred their emotions. Sobrang nakakatuwa at sobra akong namo-motivate lalo.
